The Fall Season is my absolute favorite to document family portraits. The city of Chicago is flooded with warm tones and breathtaking autumn foliage that makes for the perfect natural backdrop. The crisp cool air and crunchy leaves sets the tone for a fun-filled session you won’t forget!

While the location options in the city are endless, Lincoln park is one of my favorites to host Fall portrait sessions as it offers a healthy balance of city views and beautiful greenery.

As an early riser, sunrise (blue hour) sessions are my first choice. The lighting is subtle and serene during this time. While I completely understand the challenge it is to get an entire family up and ready first thing in the morning, I truly believe it is completely worth it!

What better way to start your day than to kick it off with lots of hugs, snuggles, and belly laughter. I always suggest to make a day of it so plan to grab a delicious coffee and meal with your family after.

Worried about your littles being shy in front of the camera, or maybe refuse to participate? No worries! As a mother of two, I understand it takes time to gain their trust. I will follow their pace, respect their boundaries, and make the best of the time we have together.
